You are advertising to people that have expressed an interest in certain things based on their activity in Facebook. This is called cold traffic, these people know nothing about you.

They don’t trust you quite yet. Why would they buy right away? You have to warm up the traffic with educational messages, videos, explainers. Ads that explain your business, and your products or services.

Once this is done you can start remarketing to these audiences.

There are several ways to do this:

  • Use pixel data retarget people that have already been to your site or certain pages.
  • Build an audience based on people who have engaged with your page in the past.
  • Upload an email list, and retarget to those people.
